Frank Bongers's need for experimentation is obvious to a lot of people surrounding him. His search for new and exciting developments in music - both musically and technologically - has made him create tunes and songs in different styles. His work from his alter ego "Moodlex" had him listed in the top radio listings for several times. But only creating hits has been unsatisfactory to Frank, hence the will to experiment more - feeding his musical hunger. Sable Rouge is a project that was born out of that need - a trip to repetitive and cinematic soundscapes, uplifting and light music with a twist of darkness.Frank is no stranger to musical productions. As he started playing violin and piano at the age of nine, he quickly became a promising solist. But after attending and studying at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, he decided to pursue a completely different path. He dropped out and started his own music studio, doing several experiments in electronic music. Writing music for his first business venture SoundShopper.com (a website that supplies music and sounds to media corporations) has been proven a successful one. So much that he moved to Spain for a while and making the decision to release an artist album. His first Moodlex album, called "Moodlex Sessions" was a blend of downtempo grooves, deep house, ambient soundscapes and trippy breakbeats and made it on numerous compilation cd's. Doing the same thing over and over - you'll probably noticed from what we told before - is not a thing Frank pursues. His second album using the moniker "Moodlex" made quite an impression on people, as it was completely different from the first. Released on his own label Swax Records - he made a musical story about nightlife and clubbing, thus adding a lot of house beats, gritty breakbeats, drum 'n bass mayhem and an English flavor to his tracks. From this album, two songs made it to great heights in the radio listings, and made Moodlex a quality name in the music scene. After licensing one of the tracks to a US record label, Derrick Carter selected a remix of this song for inclusion on a Om Records compilation. Being both a musical and business entrepeneur, Frank has proven to be a frontrunner of new and exciting technologies. He is currently running a company for musicians and record labels called Fuud.com, supplying web-based programs and tools to easy the workload. LicenseTracks.com licenses music of his label Swax Records for use in mobile phones, tv commercials and movies.
